My educational philosophy is simple. I aspire that no kids in my classroom are left behind. I want each student to have an equal chance at succeeding in his or her education. I will focus on each student individually and make sure they are accomplishing their goals. I will be aware of each students needs and make modifications and accommodations if the situation calls for it. I will make sure my students are active participants in learning by including different learning styles throughout the class.
Students in my classroom need to be
active learners. It is important that they are focused on what is being taught.
They will be engaged in the lessons and pay attention to what I am teaching. I
will come up with lessons that keep the students interested and on track to
learning something new. Students will learn how to memorize, how to take notes,
how to study, and how to express themselves in their learning. They will learn
different methods of understanding information and taking it in.
Differentiation will be very
important in my classroom. I want each student to have equal chances at
succeeding, and make modifications for students who may need extra help in
certain areas. I will strive for inclusion in my classroom by creating alternative
teaching and learning methods for students who need it. Individuals with
disabilities will learn alongside their classmates in a normal way. I will take
a positive approach to overcome any obstacles with special education students.
I will have structure in my
classroom. I believe structure is very important for every student. We never
know what a student is going through at home and it is important that they at
least have a set structure at school. I will follow a routine and daily
schedule every day in my classroom. The students will know what to expect and
what rules to follow. Organization is very important and implementing it in my
classroom will set an example for my students to follow.
Environment is a very important
part of the classroom, and I want to have a fun and exciting environment for my
students to learn in. I want them to have plenty of resources around the
classroom such as books, computers, workbooks, and even motivational posters. I
feel it is important to have an exciting environment to keep students upbeat in
their learning.
TECHNOLOGY QUESTIONS:
I have many experiences using technology. I have used different resources throughout my college career that use technology. There are useful websites for everything. Using a computer is my main way of completing college.
Technology can be used in education by utilizing resources. For example, there are websites that help student families and teachers keep in contact and stay up to date with student progress. Technology can also be used in education by using items such as computers and smart boards or ipads. All of these resources can be utilized to make education easier, especially educational websites.
